Meet Dr Michail Vourvachis (He/Him)
Dr Vourvachis is the lead surgeon at the London Gender Affirming Clinic and specialises in chest surgery, body contouring, and facial procedures, including facial feminisation and masculinisation.
He has undertaken specialist training in both Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery and is one of a small number of surgeons in the UK to hold both a medical and a dental degree. He holds diplomas from the Royal College of Surgeons of England (Dental Surgery) and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (Surgery). After graduating in Dentistry from Charles University in Prague and in Medicine from St George’s University of London, he earned an MSc in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from University College London (UCL) with honours.Mr Vourvachis completed his higher surgical training in some of the busiest teaching hospitals in the UK, gaining extensive experience in head and neck, breast, skin cancer, extremity, burns, and paediatric reconstruction. He further refined his microsurgical skills during a prestigious fellowship at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, focusing on complex reconstructions for the breast, chest wall, perineum, and skin cancers.

His interest in gender-affirming surgery led him to undertake a dedicated fellowship with world-renowned surgeon Mr Christopher Inglefield, through which he gained comprehensive expertise in top surgery, facial feminisation, chest feminisation, and gender-affirming body contouring. Having been personally trained by Mr Inglefield to carry forward a legacy of excellence in gender-affirming care, Mr Vourvachis is committed to providing the highest standard of support and surgical precision to help individuals feel more aligned with their identity and confident in their bodies.
Beyond his clinical work, Mr Vourvachis is actively involved in teaching and research. He lectures widely on cosmetic medicine and regenerative surgery and has trained hundreds of national and international practitioners through Harley Elite Academy in London. He is also the founder of a specialised course on Microfat and Nanofat grafting techniques for facial and body rejuvenation.
Mr Vourvachis has presented over 60 papers, abstracts, and book chapters at leading international conferences. He is a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), the Royal Society of Medicine in Plastic Surgery, and the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), remaining dedicated to innovation, ethical practice, and surgical excellence.
